African American history and Women’s History ( White women)has been included since 1986.In 1976 the California legislature had 5 Hispanic members.  They were able to pass legislation to establish bilingual education.  In 2012 the California legislature has 26 Latino members. To date they have not been interested in getting Chicano/Latino history taught in the schools.  Duane Campbell
